SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Nursing Services
Monday to Friday 8:30a to 4:30p with 24 hours on call duty.
Essential: Some weekend and extended weekday hours may be required even in the event of inclement weather; Daily Job Site: Flexible.
Exempt Full Time
$40.00 a hour

The position of Registered Nurse is responsible for the administration and implementation of the medical services at EPIC
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
•Must have a Bachelor's Degree.•A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program with a BSN degree or higher•Must have advanced Microsoft Word skills.•Must possess a local, valid U.S. driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years or any major violations in the past 5 years•Must have the ability to successfully pass COMAR mandated training and basic skills tests•Must have knowledge of DDA, CMS finale rule and COMAR regulations.•Must have at least 3 years of experience with adults with intellectual disabilities and/or clinical experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience.•Must be certified to train staff on medication administration Must have on hand in hospital knowledge for at least 5 years

Responsible for the health and safety of persons supported by EPIC.
•Maintains current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Maryland.
•Completes and updates nursing care plans for assigned caseload.
•Ensures compliance with DDA, OHCQ, OSHA, and the Maryland Board of Nursing regulations.
•Acts as liaison with EPIC staff, Healthcare professionals, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
•Manages an assigned caseload of persons supported.
•Acts as an advocate for persons supported, ensuring that they are always treated with respect and dignity.
•Assigns tasks to Program Managers when required.
•Performs other duties as designated by the Director of Nursing.
•Supervision:
•Monitors delegated nursing tasks as provided by CNA’s, CMT’s, and DSP’s.
•Performs periodic site visits to assess health and safety compliance.
•Record Keeping & Documentation:
•Performs the initial nursing assessment for assigned caseload.
•Completes and updates nursing care plans for assigned caseload.
•Ensures persons supported health information is readily available for review by
applicable parties.
•Confers with doctors, labs and other medical professionals to ensure
quality care. Performs Initial Nursing Assessments,45 Day Nursing Assessments and other follow up assessments as required.
Staff training on delegated nursing tasks.
Monthly Medication Checks for persons on your caseload.
