Description

The position of Quality Enhancement Specialist is to review, evaluate, and investigate cases to determine accuracy and outcomes. The incumbent is a detail-oriented professional that is responsible for the implementation of policies & procedures, inspect and audit to ensure compliance with internal and external protocols/regulations.    

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.  Some college preferred.
  • Preferred knowledgebase of Maryland DDA and COMAR.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.

  • Have good adaptability and flexibility to be effective in changing environments.
  • Possess strong conflict resolutions skills and detail oriented.

  • Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in compliance with internal and external agencies rules and regulation.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Must be responsible and take accountability for own actions.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Investigations/Incident Reviews:

  • Conduct Audits for the Investigation (i.e. training, personnel file).
  • Complete verbal/written report to appropriate folk of the investigation.
Tracking Behavior Plans and Personal Centered Plans:
  • Conduct random sample audits, each month to ensure compliance.
  • Report audit findings to appropriate internal, team members your outcomes/deficiencies requesting a target date to complete deficiencies.
  • Implement follow up process for reviewing audit target dates.

Tracking training:

  • Conduct random sample of training records.
  • Send out report of findings to appropriate EPIC leadership.
  • Assist programs with Plan of Correction development as needed.
