We are currently seeking to add to our team a creative and results-oriented Community Support Manager for our Southern Maryland region to provide core administrative functions, such as supporting the billing, auditing and quality assurance processes, while leading a team of DSPs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DDA, CMS finale rule and COMAR regulations a must.
  • Three years of leadership experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Strong staff management experience required, with the ability and interest to work closely with staff members in our Southern Region to set and achieve individual and team goals.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written; strong ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization to create buy-in and a sense of teamwork.
  • Apply a high work standard; establish criteria to achieve an elevated level of service delivery.
  • Must have experience in scheduling, data management, program and activity planning.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple, complex projects within demanding timeframes.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug test, be at least 21 years of age, have a local, valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Assures compliance with COMAR, CMS Finale rule, State and Federal regulations, while supporting residential staff in the Southern region, active participation in continuous quality assurance and improvement.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage the operations and activities of all aspects of the Community integration related functions of the Department, including the Community Development Services (CDS) program and other community initiatives.
  • Constantly implement and track Person Centered Plans (PCP), Behavior Plans, supervising all CDS direct support staff in the Southern region, maintenance of accurate staffing ratios, planning, coordinating, and implementing services to meet the desired outcomes for a meaningful day.
  • Ensure all reports/documentation is completed within required time frames, including monthly attendance, weekly reports, incident reports, and other reports as requested.
  • Responsible for the case management of all persons supported in the Southern Region, acts as a liaison, advocate, and coordinator for support groups, self-advocacy, vocational programming, transportation services, health needs, and community integration.
  • Coordinate staffing in assigned program, review ongoing staffing needs, and schedule shifts that are vacant or impacted by staff call outs, with appropriate, and trained personnel.
  • Performs other duties as designated by supervisor.
